Aili \a(i)-li\ as a girl's name is of Finnish origin, and the meaning of Aili is "of noble estate".

Woke up 25 minutes ago. Commence Operation "Lunar Eclipse."

Mother of Mercy, I will never internally mock those retired old men who go to flower gardens and photo flowers. They do not fuck around when they have a heavy DSL and a tripod. Setting up both on the front lawn was a 20 minute cardio for me.
[Saturday, December 10, 2011, 4:47 AM PST]
I just realized that it is not the tripod that is loose, but that the moon is fucking moving -- which means that I will have to constantly adjust the camera. Blitzkerg.

Partiality began about 10 minutes ago I think.

It's not that I'm not grateful to my brother for kindly agreeing to let me borrow his DSLR on certain occasions, but I would still kill for a 300x telescope to see the surface of teh moon.

I'm pretty sure it's not me, but I think it just got colder. Isn't it supposed to warm up as it approaches dawn?
[Saturday, December 10, 2011, 5:38 AM PST]
Totality isn't supposed to start for another half hour, but I can already see a blood red moon.
[Saturday, December 10, 2011, 5:54 AM PST]
Oh, my God. 10 minutes until totality! Unfortunately, I think I'll have to change my seat, because the damn tree is blocking my view. Worse yet, I think the houses across the street are going to block my view. CRAP. Maybe I should have gone to the beach. I could definitely see moonset that way.
[Saturday, December 10, 2011, 5:59 AM PST]
Crapazoid. I'll definitely have to change my seat on the front seats. And I think the houses across the street are going to obscure my view of the lunar eclipse. If I don't get a good shot before the stupid houses obscure the view, I'm going to the roof.

You know, I think they were always just BSing some cheesy shit, but I think the poets weren't joking when they described the moon as a pearl in the deep night sky.
[Saturday, December 10, 2011, 6:25 AM PST]
BOO. The moonset has set behind the houses across the street AND the canopy of tress in the country club. No awesome picture of a blood red moon it seems. Well, at least I got a good view of it. Next time, I'm going to a beach, so I can watch the moon set on the horizon. Good night! (Or morning. I don't know; I just want to snuggle back into my warm, warm bed.)
