Kerrick \k(e)-rri-ck\ as a boy's name is pronounced KARE-ik. It is of English origin, and the meaning of Kerrick is "king's rule".
Yesterday was my birthday, and today is the day after. One might find it today rather anticlimactic, but since I made sure to keep yesterday low-key, so today wouldn't feel like a let-down in any way.
However, it seems like my efforts were wasted, because despite that my birthday was yesterday, I got some major swag today!
From Wendy. I actually received this in the mail several days ago, but whatever. One charm with my horoscope (Pisces), and the other with a unicorn, which she knows is near and dear to my heart.
From Vivian. She always gives me a grab bag of gifts every year, and I always felt guilty and in debt to her generosity. There is a small limited edition Peanuts 60th Anniversary moleskin, a small container of The Body Shop's Pink Grapefruit Body Butter (which smells divine and good enough to eat), a bottle opener (I have no idea how to use one), a packet of socks (because she says I don't wear socks -- it's true, I don't, because that's because I wear flats these days!), and nail art polishes in yellow, silver glitter, and black. This is a crazy awesome haul.
But the great surprise was from Fion. I had just finished dinner with my family when the doorbell rang. I went to get it and found myself confronted with a dozen pink roses. It was actually supposed to come yesterday, but who the hell cares?! I got roses for my birthday!
I never would have thought that the day after my birthday would be infinitely better than my birthday.
The only downside is that I'm having my period. AUUUGGGGHHHH.
But today was too wonderful a day to be ruined. So, screw you, natural bodily functions.
