The boy's name Gadiel \g(a)-diel\ is of Arabic origin, and the meaning of Gadiel is "God is my fortune".
Lately, whenever I have free time, I've been watching reruns of Criminal Minds. I would have imagined myself playing Pokémon Platinum (despite the scary serial killer guy) or my other multitudes of otome games waiting for me to play them, but hey, swooning over fictional men played by real men is just as good.
I love watching Criminal Minds, not because I'm a sucker for the police procedurals (I wish there were less), but because it fulfills my deep, dark fascination with the evil psychopaths in the world. Or at least, that used to be the sole reason.
I still watch it now for all the psychos, but I have two additional reasons that I watch it. They happen to be Matthew Gray Gubler who plays Dr. Spencer Reid and Thomas Gibson who plays Aaron Hotchner.
Dr. Spencer Reid is a certified genius with doctorates in mathematics, chemistry, and engineering, who works for the FBI. He is socially inept, but in the cutest, most adorable way possible. He is played, as I have said before, by Matthew Gray Gubler. He and I happens to share the same birthday, March 9. He was born in 1980, and I 1990. I have used this fact as prove, to Wendy, that we are soulmates. We are star-crossed lovers separated only by a decade! But no one believes me. Boo.
My love for Thomas Gibson comes not from his character in Criminal Minds, but one of his former roles as Greg from the comedy Dharma and Greg. He is possibly even cuter than MGG as Spencer Reid. Actually, way cuter. I've just watched an episode of Dharma and Greg (instead of Criminal Minds), and I've laughed so much that I think someone thinks I'm possibly high. If I ever get married, I want someone as cute and stiff as him. Squeal. Love.
I'm going to stop professing my love for them and get back to watching them instead.
