The Long Wait is... Pretty Much OVER

Jun 26, 2011 12:18

With just less than four days to go to the official release of "OVER", it is no surprise that some of us in the fandom have managed to acquire and even upload share the full PV. My hats to you die-hard fans for even managing this feat. I won't do any hotlinking here because the word's already out on the availability of the PV for downloading for viewing... so scour the whole of cyberspace if you will in the next few hours or better yet, just wait for your own copy of the LE of "OVER" to arrive at your doorstep after the 29th.

Well, after viewing the PV, I'm quite glad that they decided to have it shot outside in a sunshiny, windy day - unless that's a CG background we're looking at the whole time.  Heck everything's all marred by CG these days! The whole PV gives out a refreshing feel while also having some of that leftover nifty space-like influence from their last single. It's really quite cool that they have the slow-mo captures of the rest of the members in the background (particularly Yamada's and Chinen's) and having that equally cool red phone float here and there. Almost surreal but very much grounded with the message of the song. The location looks like a shopping center/recreational resort-park... or even a school - more like a university or a classy private school. I'm pretty much looking forward to the 'making-of' video of this PV and what was the inspiration behind the feel of the PV. Speaking of feel, I was also wondering back a few minutes ago what would a PV of "Time" look like if they had made one last year... and now we have this PV of "OVER" which basically made my imagination go wild with all manner of possibilities plus, the fact that the boys just might have a good year ahead - drama-less or drama-full.

I kind of missed having any one of them star in dramas. It's a good thing that Hikaru nailed a role in "Ikemen desu ne" because I'm already quite looking forward to another Johnny's tour de force despite all the canceled plans and delays before the year ends.

And for Kawashima Umika fans like me, kindly support and look forward to her new drama slated for a July 10 start. The live-action adaptation of a Saimon Fumi manga "Hanawake no Yon Shimai" promises to be quite an interesting role for her to tackle this time around. She's got an amazing A-list cast of senpais (including the lovely Michiko Kichise) with her in this drama after all. Well, as a bonus, we have NEWS' Shigeaki Kato-kun playing as a, get this, 'playboy photographer'. That's something new even for Kato-kun. Well, I'm all for Chinen appearing in this drama just to spice things up. ~KYA~
