#3 and #5 are only good IF YOU'RE ACTUALLY INTERESTED IN THE WATCH OR THE IPOD. Otherwise you will just look dumb later when it turns out you don't care about ipods.
In my experience, the best way to chat up a guy is to find something intriguing about him and ask about it. Most people (guys and girls) are deeply flattered when someone is genuinely interested in something about them, and most people like to talk about their personal effects. For example, my exgirlfriend totally buttered me up the first time we met by asking me about my shoes. I *loved* that pair of shoes and so feeling her genuine interest in something that was important to me was very attractive and it was easy for me to talk about the shoes, much easier than if she'd just put me on the spot and said "so what brings you here" or somesuch.
Same for guys, I think. Guys seem perfectly happy if you just sit down next to them and say, "hey, what's up, that looks like a great beer/book/ipod/whatever, can you tell me about it?".
I like "hi" because it's honest and easy.
