Great birthday!

So, it was going to be just a small quiet night with a few friends. While still small, there were a few surprise guests that made my night! Michael (Strobe), Mad Chatter (Leila) and Shiho, Cousteau, Lulie and Widget (with Bella in tow) were planned, along with my kids (who were awesome in helping clean up BM stuff and get the house somewhat organized, shopping, etc wishme went to the laundramat and did 6 or so loads of playa laundry!)  Pat brought a burn barrel and grilled steak and chicken and yummy onions.  I was told there were surprises.  First was Lepus, a new ranger, and his girlfriend, who came in from Ontario, then twistedcat and ratswallow appeared (I didn't think they would be able to come because they were at his parents' 50th wedding anniversary party--now that's an accomplishment!) bearing wonderful fried rice.  Right behind them was Vegas, a ranger who flew in from SF just for the party!  Leila and wishme  dj'd, so we had great background music, the burn barrel (made from the inside of a washing machine) attracted everyone and we all had a great time talking and eating.  No Stargate, we were too busy talking, but there was CAKE!  and lots of wine and some amazingly strong peach (or apricot) infused vodka from Prague

So a wonderful night with amazing friends.  Can't do better than that for your birthday.
