Well, it's been a LONG time since I updated, so let me catch ya'll up on the soap opera that can be my life at times.
Towards the end of school, I was working very hard trying to finish a yearbook for the school. Not just any 'ole yearbook, mind you, but a cd-rom version and a dvd version. Since my school is so tiny (round about 110 students from preschool to 6th grade), we can't afford to have the traditional paper copies made. Therefore, I took it upon myself to create these hi-tech versions. Anyway, I didn't sleep from Saturday night til Wednesday night. Those of you who know me already know about my insomnia and ability to get by. Well, even I have limits. Wednesday, on the way home from school, I fell asleep driving and scratched up mom's truck. Yippee. So as part of my "probation", I had to pay for repairs and (gasp, this part I hated most) go to the doctor for sleep disorders. The doctor gave me sleeping pills. These pills worked for a total of 3 nights. The fourth night, nothing. I have a very high tolerance to drugs, and my body adjusts rather quickly. I'd be an awful drunk if I took up the habit. Anyway, as you can tell by looking at the time of this post, things are back to normal sleep wise.
I starred in my very first play that people had to pay to attend. Always before, in the hundreds of plays I've done, they've always just been open. For the Lewis County Theatre Guild's first production, I starred in two one-act plays "A First Date" and "Another First Date" as Jack, the inept waiter. Tickets were almost $20 each. I was happy. We got good reviews for both performances and will probably be doing it later, as well. Now, I'm focusing on the two plays I'm doing Saturday for the 4th of July. I play 2 different old guys.
Finally, I'm trying to buy a house, which is trying my patience to no end. I found a great place, but it's just out of purchase range for me. I'm waiting to see if the owners are desperate enough to come down to my level. Grrrr....
Anyway, that's about it for me at the moment. I'm going to try to do a little better on here. Talk to everyone soon!
