"The solution is obviously to just hose him off next time." SHe said from the doorway, amusement evident.

Ranger looked up and smirked back at her. "I was afraid he was gonna get icicles on his fur," he said as he finished rubbing the dog down, "but I guess he doesn't like warm water."

"Is that the problem?" She crouched to rub damp puppy ears. "You don't like warm water? Huh?"

Liber panted at her, a doggy grin on his face, tongue hanging out.

"Or he just likes being a pain in my ass," Ranger said wryly as he rolled to his feet and tugged the soaked shirt over his head, sidestepping them to go to the bedroom.

Ranger laughed and gestured to where the trolley with their food sat. "It is, isn't it. You want something to drink?"

"Water is fine," she said laughing and going to take the tops off the food.

He tugged a shirt over his head before going into the kitchen to get them both water. Liber was having a hard time who he would rather bother and just ended up trotting between the two of them.

"So what's this movie you had in mind?"

"It's on the counter," Actually there were a few, an action movie, an old spy film and the steamy video she'd promised.

Ranger pawed through them, stopping on Nine 1/2 weeks, eyebrows going up. "Nice choices," he called to the living room as he poured the water.

"I thought you'd like them." She called back. "But we're not having cherry preserves for dessert."

"Damn disappointing, that's what that is," he said as he tucked the three videos under his arm and carried the water glasses out to her. "How about honey?"

"Sounds sticky." She made a face.

"Spoil sport." He stole a kiss as he gave her her glass and grabbed his plate, moving to sit on the couch. "Which one first?"

"That depends entirely on your mood. Suspicion is good. Assuming you like Hitchcock. And the action flick is a classic."

He set the plate down on the coffee table and looked the three movies over. He faintly remember Stephanie making some joke about action movies turning men on.
