So, I did the 3-3-3-3-3-3
snatch today. Let me tell you what, they're a lot harder than they look.
Check out the Bergener warmup. I kind of like
this one better because it gives you a bit more technical breakdown, but really, as long as you work on core strength, balance, and weight transfer, you're workin it good. I have an unfortunate tendency to want to lean forward, which puts my knees over my toes, but I'm working on it.
Doing the hip capsule and calf stretches are seriously helping my squat stance. I didn't post them before, so here are a couple of links:
MWOD64,
SanFranCF1,
SanFranCF2. Both the Mobility WOD episodes and the SanFran Crossfit blogspot are great sources for (humorously) loosening up your tight areas, so if you have the time, check out some more of their stuffs, specifically the long head tricep, quad, calf, and lats.
Aaaanyway, so I only got to snatch up to 55#. I'm pretty sure that I could have done 65#, but since my technique isn't the best, I didn't want to chance it. Also, I made some serious air doing the shotput today. *dances* I don't know what my distance is yet, but I'm hoping that it gets better. My coach applauded me, so I must be doing well. :-)
Happy fitness!
