(no subject)
So I've been obsessing about money lately (no surprise) and wondering especially how me being in graduate school for an ungodly number of years would effect our finances. Again, no surprise. When I spoke to the director of graduate studies last year, he said I should be finished with classes by the end of 2007. But, like in all things in which he misled me, I think I may actually be done with classes this spring! Which makes me deliriously happy, and which means I can start comping this summer and actually be out of this place in a reasonable amount of time. Yay!
So I've emailed the new DGS and asked if my calculations are correct. I hope they are. I hope I hope. Not that I don't love graduate school, because I do, in my own twisted way. But I really need to start making some real money, and my student loans should run out by the end of next year. So the timing really couldn't be better. I want the DGS to email me back right now.
