Hanging out with Rob, and his friend Mike. They're drunk, I'm sober. We're re-watching "Saw" which is an incredible movie. Don't listen to the reviews.. This movie freaked the shit out of me. Sooo good. And we watched Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. It was amazing. It was soo funny. So.. Go see these two movies..

Work was work. I more want the snow to stop coming so that I don't get out so late. Oh, and the Black Maria film festival is coming to my school this week. Got tomorrow night off of work to go see it. I've seen it every year since I've been in Media Arts. They range from films, to videos, but all are short. Once in a while we get one that's like an hour or so. And there are those that are great and highly inspirational, then there are those that suck. I took my friend Tim to it once, and he was bored. There were a few that he liked, but mostly he didn't like them. I'm going to try to drag Rob to it, and hopefully I'll get my motivation to get my video going. It's so hard when you don't really know how things are working, when you don't really know what's going to happen. I don't quite know what I'm going to learn about myself or my mother, and its so frustrating to work on this.

I also have to work on a six-pager research due on Friday. And guess how many pages I have so far? Shit, I don't even have my sources. They're going to be mostly online sources at this point, because it doesn't appear that too many books have this topic. I have this idea that noise has an adverse effect on humans. That there is so much background noise, in addition to the media noise (I'll get into that later) that it can cause psychosis. The main part I want to prove is that media itself perpetuates this nose. That sound waves are compressed and made louder so that it can catch your attention. This is true for popular radio, televison, and HDTV. Broadcast sound is compressed three to four times before it reaches our ears. It diminishes the quality of the sound.. Blah blah blah. Very interesting topic, actually..

Now I'm off to research the effects of noise on humans. LoL.
