Countdown...

Only 8 more days until my birthday! Seeing as this is my last weekend being illegal, I figure I will put it to good use by working on and hopefully finishing at least one of my four huge projects (Childrearing During the Roman Principate, Milwaukee Jewish Organizations and the Fight for Civil Rights, Striptease: A History of the Girlie Show, and Jews, Superheros and the Golden Age of Comics). Lots of reading, writing and tears of frustration will ensue I am sure.

I never wrote about my trip to Paris, oops. I have been super busy lately... It was fun... wine, the Eiffel Tower, the Metro, tons of museums, almost taking a trip to the emergency room, you know, that sort of thing.

Tuesday I am having an IVP (Intravenous Pyelogram). Then I will get to have a fun operation after that done called Lithotripsy, then perhaps a specialized diet for the rest of my life. Stupid Kidneys! Who needs 'em?

I was offered an internship for the summer at the Milwaukee County Historical Society. I am also job hunting. Thats right, I have decided to stay in Milwaukee. At least for another year. Mr. Fancy, Katie and I are gonna just move to a different apartment, seeing as this one is being taken over by black toxic mold that will probably eat us in our sleep.

Graduation is about a month away! Feel free to help me celebrate! I am going to try not to read or write anything for like a week after. Haha, just kidding. I am so excited for the time off, to work and enjoy life a little, and to even have time to start applying for graduate schools.

I am trying to teach myself to knit. It is definitely easier said than done, but I think I will get the hang of it, and quite possibly become an addict.

Well, thats it for now. Time for Victor Turner and I to get acquainted, after which I will promptly dispose of "The Ritual Process: Structure and Anti-Structure" onto my office floor most likely, where it will consequently be lost in a sea of books, laundry and shoes.
