Two minutes after May’s goal, Trojan frustrations spilled over. With one Trojan already in the box, an SC skater slammed a 49er into the boards after a whistle. Alex Florio came in to defend his teammate and pushed the perpetrator away. A second Trojan jumped into the melee checking Florio hard from behind. The second Trojan was ejected and two more were sent to the box to serve penalties. Florio was handed a minor for roughing and a minor for unsportsmanlike conduct.
