Today I had the day off work. The office was apparently open, but as the weather was so bad, we were advised to work from home unless we felt we had to go in. I didn't feel I had to go in.
I joined a gym for the first time ever. I went to my first class last night, was a little difficult - largely cos I'm used to being a lot fitter than I currently am, so think I can do things that I actually can't - but I felt quite good when I got home, so I think I shall go again. Going to two or three classes a weeks seems like an achievable goal and I think I will feel better for it. *nods*
J's moving out, which kinda sucks - will miss having him around. Also means we have to look for a new housemate, which is always stressful. Hope we find somebody nice. Would probably prefer a boy as it breaks it up a bit, but not going to rule a girl out. It just depends on who applies, really!
I'll be turning 26 next Sunday. That's just come round crazy fast. I am actually quite looking forward to it, 25's been a very eventful age; full of difficult decisions and stressful situations. I'm hoping 26'll be a quieter one! The problem is that I've been so caught up in other things that I haven't planned anything properly. I was supposed to be emailing round places to see if I could reserve a room somewhere, but I haven't. It's probably a bit late to start now. Trouble is, I don't really know what I want to do, but I do want to do something. The plan is to go out on the Friday cos Sunday's a school night and Saturday's valentines when I'll be busy doing what I do every year: watching soppy movies and resenting the world. I'm now thinking that I may just tell people a time and place, then they have the option of turning up or not turning up and I won't have forked out to reserve a room for three people or something! Was vaguely considering a house party, but I'm not really a very good hostess...
I've written out some goals for myself to achieve whilst 26. Much less tacky than new years resolutions, I feel. I've tried to be realistic, so hopefully I should manage them! One of said goals is to visit at least 2 new countries (I haven't done much travelling) and I'm halfway there already cos myself and the delectable
pub_girl are going to Amsterdam in March! Am so very excited.
Right, that's LJ up to date, so I think I'm going to get myself to bed. Will see what the weather's like tomorrow...
Bye! xxx
