Still Here, where ever here is today...
Been traveling a bit more for work. Presently in Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood, FL. Head back home to CT in the morning. Have been to ... let me think a second ... Cape Cod (with Husband); San Juan / Caguas, PR (first time ever off US continent); and Reading / Hamburg, PA.
A lot has gone on, and I always tell myself I need to update. But since when do I listen to myself?
Just before Halloween I picked up a small digital camera as the pictures from previous trips -- Wisconsin, Pittsburgh, Cape Cod and San Juan all had development issues, partly from TSA equipment and other great enhancements. I hope to get some useful, at least general shots to upload now. Having worked during the daylight hours all week here (FL), been too dark to really do any pictures. Not that I've been much inspired -- most of my 'touristy' shots are landscapes, and the area consists almost totally of strip malls, fast food, gas stations and 24-hour pharmacies. Over and Over. I still don't see where all these people actually live. Possibly a couple images in the morning heading to the airport, but it will take planning to do with the traffic. Will have to find some places to stop quickly.
I did do a 'memory lane' side trip while in Pennsylvania. Having an afternoon / evening free, I went first to the King OF Prussia Mall(s) and then on whim drove out to Hatfield, by the company I used to work for doing conveyor controls. One of their buildings no longer has their sign, they probably moved out as they were downsizing heavily at the time. I looked at the building my division was located in and realized that I have no anger towards them. It was a great period in my life and although I would have preferred it not end, things do end in their time. The period of the last few years has been an endless roller coaster, I'm enjoying the present quiet period. Then again, a couple nights ago I did ride the "Dania Beach Hurricane" -- just once. Love the real roller coasters...
I shall end here for now. Know that I'm still here, just have to work on the procrastination thing a little. Yeah, I'll work on that...in time...
