First Antinatal Class

Jun 20, 2009 18:48

Had our first class today. Didn't really learn anything new; I've already researched most of it... but it was still informational and good fun to get to meet some of the other expectant mothers that are due around the same timeas me. A good majority of them where going to Paisley - so glad about that... haha. Means that if i go into labor i'm less likely to be fighting someone for time in the Birthing Pools.

The Birthing Pools; which i eventually got to have a peek at today, and they are awesome. They're huge! Big, deep pools with handle bars and places to sit and lean and hover... I could easily float in one of them. lol.

Other than that, baby is still back to left side, limbs to the right and head down. Hasn't engaged yet - but its still early on for that.

Braxton Hicks are steady in frequencey but increasing in discomfort. So a lot more snoozes and rolling around on my Big Blue Ball i wreckon.

Been spending a hell of a lot of time at mums - Dani and i have been here for about a week now. lol. Just cant face being in my own flat at the moment. I dont know why - think it's just a nervous, anxious, pregnancy thing. My mum says she understands though so she doesnt mind. Apparently she went through the same thing when she was expecting me and Sarah.

Dani's still working away like a trooper - and I'm gradually beginning to really hate her boss - who seems to have no common sense at all... and gets away with it as far as i'm concerned. She'll meet a shut eye with a bang if i ever meet her, cause i'll be telling her what i think of her methods on childbaring, preparing and ideals on labor and birth. Telling me to decide when i'm going to go into labor so she can book Dani in for holidays... and not giving her enough time for hospital appointments when she knows that they end half an hour before she expects her to be in work - knowing she rely's on public transport and that it's just not possible for her to get from A to B in under half an hour.

And then i get all the crap like i'm the bady for saying it's not fare.

Anyway... midwife went fine and that's all ther is to it. Bloods will come back by my next appointment and we'll see if i'm still enemic. Hopefully not. My swabs came back clear aswell, so they said i've to keep an eye for any other changes just incse it's only mild, or maybe just starting up and they haven't been able to detect anything - should be ok though. Normal normal.

I'm currently 34 + 5. Two days til i'm 35 weeks! Which leaves one week til i'm 36, a few days after we'll have our Second and Last Antinatal class, and then a week after that i'll be 37 weeks and Full Term!

So all in all i've got 2 weeks and 2 days til the real count down begins. lol. Cause after this next fortnight, baby can come any time he likes!! And i'm beginning to really look forward to getting in that tank now that i've seen it. Hehe. ;p

xx
