I'm so glad this weekend has arrived. It's been a long week - parents came in early Monday morning, editing course application due in Wednesday, work work work... but the weekend is here and I get to sleep in tomorrow. I can't say I'm thrilled about my parents being here, but it'll be over soon. Course application was bleak - slept a total of one hour on Tuesday night (or 4 am Wednesday morning) and the stuff I sent in was kinda crappy but at least I'm in with more of a chance than if I hadn't. Which I was close to doing.
Work has been alright. The company's had to process postal vote applications for the upcoming elections, so we got lots of temps in. Two are sitting on either side of me, and the guy on the right is sooooo lazy - he arrives at 8 and by 8:30 he's twiddling his thumbs in front of the screen. Well, not really twiddling anything, but you get what I mean. He always interrupts his work and sorta lounges around while everyone else is typing away furiously. There's another temp who I find rather attractive (though I guess my standards aren't very high) and it's quite distracting. We had a short conversation during our break the other day, and I found out his name was Jordan (fun name). But it's probably a good thing he's leaving - it's bad having crushes in close proximity to me.
I finally got Heroes & Thieves today. I should soooo have ordered it on Amazon, because I had to pay $26.99 for it and I probably would've gotten it around the same time if I had gotten it off Amazon. Plus I would have purchased something else to make the shipping more worthwhile, so that would've been good. But I'm determined to pay off my Visa bill this month, so I should be spending less money anyway.
I'm sure there's more I meant to say but here's some memeing instead.
1. Being done with my course applications
2. Pepperidge Farm Ginger Men
3. Cinnamon Toast Crunch in the near future
4. Weekend chats avec Matty-to-the-O
5. Speaking French last night to a family friend
6. Buying 1000 Kisses, at long last
7. Rachel Griffiths being awesome on Brothers and Sisters, even if she did make me want to cry
8. Imminent visit to Fifteen (Jamie Oliver's restaurant to train struggling kids to be chefs)
9. Coffee
10.The arrival of the weekend
Oh, Martina Hingis and the cocaine allegations - gah. I watched her press conference and she did look very distraught, so hopefully she is innocent. But who knows. As long as Justine doesn't turn out to be a steroid user or something, I'll be okay.
