I HATE DOING DIGITAL ART.
Well, maybe that's a bit harsh. Except not really. I like drawing with a pencil instead of a mouse. And drawing on paper doesn't hurt my eyes as much as a screen does.
But anyway, I am getting pretty damn sick of not being able to do jack shit on DeviantArt because of the assumption that everyone draws digitally. I want to join this fighting league, right? Basically, you enter a character and then illustrate fights with other members of the league. I figure it would be good motivation to learn to draw more dynamic poses and convey action better.
So, the way you join is to draw your character, write down his/her stats and submit it. Easy enough. EXCEPT. Except you have to put your character on this background they suppy for you with the league's logo on it.
FUCK THAT SHIT!
I don't have photoshop, so I can't transfer my scanned in drawing onto the digital background. And even if I could, the background is waaaaaaay smaller than my drawing so it wouldn't fit anyway. I can't believe that something so trivial is stopping me here D:<
Gyah. I'm just really frustrated now, mostly because I'm actually pretty proud of the character I was gonna submit and the drawing I did of her. Hell, just drawing the application picture already motivated me to draw more dynamic and interesting poses! I WANT TO JOIN THAT LEAGUE DAMNIT! WHY THEY GOTTA HATE ON US SCANNING-FOLK?!
Right. So, anyways, I love when people visit me. More of you guys should come up here, I know where all the cool stuff is. You can even sleep on my couch :D (I'm not even kidding, it's a really comfy couch, my roomies and I are always taking turns on who gets to sleep on it next).
Also, I don't know if any of you fellow college-going people have heard, but a sordid detail from Mr. Van der Woude's past has popped up. Turns out, that when he was younger, he had a rather embarrassing night job.
He was a POLE DANCER.
I am totally serious here, he didn't even deny it. Apparently one of the girls in his class asked him about it and he just laughed and said "Haha, I can't believe you know about that!"
By the way, if it turns out this is old news and you all already know about it, then WHY THE HELL DID NOBODY TELL ME?
