I was watching "Animal Cops" on Animal Planet today. It's that show where they have special cops with the ASPA that investigate cases of animal cruelty or neglect, and in most cases they seize the dog/cat/horse and fix it up for adoption, and then and they prosecute the abusive/neglecting owners.

And it got me thinking, why don't we do that for foster kids?

If DHS was as thorough as ASPA, the world would be a much better place.

It just seems silly to put so much effort into rescuing ANIMALS when there are thousands of HUMAN CHILDREN in foster care that simply fall through the cracks.
