Today I found myself in the company of many other older people. People who had been through so many experiences, and finally at that stage wherein they start to sit back and reflect... thinking out loud about how much they have gone through, the worth of the risks they had taken, and what else they can do for the days to come. They were the type of older people who never seemed to stop dreaming about how life could become much better for people who never even knew who they were, and perhaps even people who may know who they are but wished the worst for them. The type of older people who had those pearls of wisdom to share, saying it all so casually that you cannot help but be amused by how so much truth can be found in such simple things.
At that moment, I wondered if I would reach that day... that day when I too could look back and reflect what has been accomplished, smile and look forward to even more dreams to be realized. Those great people, with their biographies and perhaps even those who remain "un-discovered", all began to change the world by simply acting upon a dream which at first they may have thought was meant for someone else to achieve. But, perhaps with a change of perspective or a change of heart, they realized that dreams will remain such unless they decide to make it a reality.
Every single reality now was once a dream... and to go back and review every single reality will only bring to one dream which perhaps only one being decided to realize.
It is a choice-- whether we remain dreamers or actualizers. It is an act, a practice of our free will to make this decision... the decision which inevitably will mold you into the person you want to be.
The question, then, is this: Which do you choose to be?
