Cause-play (a x-post from my multiply acct :P)
P chan (twasdraco) is really up for joining the cosplay in the mangaholix event. So now I'm really trying to find suitable female characters (because even if I wanna try copying a male character... it's much much tougher in a lot of ways @_@;) . But so far, it's been really difficult to find video game and anime characters with my hair color and hair type... And there's an extra difficulty, let me present this by posting pics of the characters me and P chan have actually thought of already.
So here's my cuter animated version for reference. LOL Otherwise you'd have to bear with the headshot. XD
warning: some characters can be very revealing... O_o; I warned you, okay okay? I minimized the pictures anyway.
And the characters arrreeeee: *drumroll*
1. Kanzeon Bosatsu (Gensomaden Saiyuki)
this one's my best bet, because her hair color matches mine, and because accessories are easy to find. The difficulty, however... if you haven't noticed her clothes by now...
yeah. In the manga version, it's actually transparent.
Hahahahahaa *nervous laughter*
and she's barefoot. And she's kind of tomboy-ish so she's not very "proper" in how she conducts herself. She couldn't care less. @_@

2. Ayako (Slam Dunk)
Ayako's pretty simple to cosplay. But that's the thing, she's from a classic anime series that came out in the 90's (which I admittedly still have to watch), and that she's very easy to cosplay. The thing about cosplay is that it's more fun when you look out-of-place but do it with style and in keeping with the character you're copying. But if I run out ideas for the cosplay, I might just resort to copying Ayako.
3. Karen Kasumi (X 99,CLAMP)
Karen has the pawah of fayah! She's always clad in red. The difficulty is her hair color... but the length, I think I can copy. As for her costume... well... if she isn't wearing full sleeves and collar, she's wearing what she usually does for her job. (as implied by the picture on the right. This is according to the series, okay? O_o) Oh, and another difficulty is that sultry and feisty attitude of hers. Whew. Cosplay is more fun when you even ACT like the character @_@;
4. Kotori Monou (X 99)
Here's a "safer" counterpart to Karen. But Kotori isn't usually wearing something "signature". She's usually in her night gown, that all-white dress, or her school uniform. The hair length and color would mean I'd have to find a wig... @_@;
But I guess that's the only difficulty if ever I decide to cosplay as her.
5. Jeane (Suikoden Series)
(frm right: Suikoden III, I, II, IV, V)
Jeane is one of the sexiest female animated characters I've known. But I didn't know her evolution throughout the Suikoden series included less and less cloth in her costume.
For starters, I think I could copy her hairstyle. The color would be difficult though. (except in Suikoden IV version) Aside from that, the costume.
Oh, the costume. eeee-gahd! @_@
But this costume, from Suikoden 3, I like. :D
Added difficulty: body type. LOL!
6. Urd (Ah! My Goddess)
Ah, another goddess. Seriously, I tried photoshopping my own picture to imagine how I'd look with long, white hair.
I look old.
But hey, with a body like Urd's, no one would suspect you were older than 20. O_o;
And, that's another difficulty, another sexy character... with a feisty, sultry attitude.
And if you notice, the slit of her dress reaches her upper waist. hoo-haa!
So there you have it. Difficult characters to cosplay, indeed. The only reason why I'm looking for characters with my hair type is so that I wouldn't need to look for a wig (which I'm not really enthusiastic about), and so I can actually "flaunt" my unique physical trait. LOL.
