Swoop was in the other place again. Well, actually, this was another other place, but she was pretty sure that the same rules applied to it.
So she wasn't supposed to be here.
Wheeljack had carefully explained to her how to come home if she ever came to the other place again, repeated the instructions till she and Grimlock and Sludge could repeat them back to him easily. So she knew how to get home.
But she didn't have the zoomy thing that she was supposed to get home with.
The little silver and gold pterodactyl looked around, her blue optics bright with curiosity as she looked at all the different people. There were humans, and Transformers, and... oooo, a Teletubby!
Lala was gone before Swoop could reach her through the crowd, so she paused and looked around some more. So many interesting feet and legs!
"Stupid birdy look like stupid mini-Swoop," growled a voice from behind her.
Swoop blinked and turned her head, then blinked again at the being that she saw sitting on the curb. "Kittybird!"
The odd mech snarled bad-naturedly. "Me Dogstar DINOBOT, stupid mini-Swoop!"
"Me Swoop sorry," said the pterodactyl contritely. "You Dogstar forgive me Swoop?"
"No! Go away! Or me Dogstar hit stupid mini-Swoop!" The other femme blew a cloud of steam from her muzzle.
"Oooooo!" Swoop was transfixed. "Pretty! You Dogstar do again??"
One yellow optic narrowed slightly as Dogstar regarded her. And then the grumpy little creature decided to comply and did indeed do it again.
Swoop screed softly with delight, then transformed to the exquisite little Christmas angel that was her bot mode and plunked down next to her brand new friend. "You Dogstar, cool. And pretty."
"You mini-Swoop stupid," came back the amiable reply.
Swoop heard things like this all the time from Grimlock, so she didn't pay it much attention. "Me Swoop need to find zoomy thing."
Dogstar ignored her in favor of spitting out more steam and scaring a passerby.
Then both small Dinobots turned their heads and watched as someone explained to someone else where to get PINpoints and how to program them.
"Zoomy thing!" said Swoop with soft excitement. "You Dogstar need?"
The feathered femme scowled at her. "Not going home. ...Sure."
Swoop bounced up and brought back two PINpoints, then scouted around till she found one of the programming devices. "Here, me Swoop fix."
"Stupid Swoop make go boom like him Wheeljack does."
"Him Wheeljack don't make go boom." Swoop blinked at her, but then reminded herself of what she was supposed to be doing and carefully got both PINpoints programmed. "There, this one, you Dogstar's."
Dogstar took it with a growl and vanished.
Swoop cawed happily and pressed the button on her own, then happily glomped Wheeljack as she appeared on his work table.
"What the slag?" The Autobot pried her off and stared at her. "Who are you?"
"...Me Swoop!" She blinked at him.
"Uh... no. Swoop is a lot bigger, and right now he's sitting on the roof.
Swoop's optics went wide as she realized that she'd gotten the PINpoints mixed up.
"Oh oh."
