A small blue mech fled wildly across the grassy area, his red optic band bright with fright as a massive avian form swooped and harried him. It looked like Rumble had slagged off the wrong mech.
Though Solarflare was actually having fun. Games like this did her eagle instincts good.
Oh look! The groundhog's out! she thought as she saw a fat furry critter, which was too busy horking down new grass shoots to really pay attention to the rodeo that was rapidly approaching it. But as she watched the 'chuck suddenly whistled in alarm as Rumble's shadow fell over it, then bolted for its hole. Rumble, unable to stop his headlong dash, then stuck his foot in said hole and went down with a cry of pain and the sound of wrenching metal.
"You stupid glitch." Solarflare transformed as she landed and lifted him by the scruff, then gave him a smack on the head. "Now we're having six more weeks of winter."
For once, Rumble had no comeback.
