Prowl nodded and stepped away from his student. "Good. I think that's enough for now."

Witchblade frowned, but then telescoped her halberd and slipped it into the holder on her upper leg before bowing respectfully. "Thank you, sensei."

"For what?" The golden ninja bowed in return, then tilted his head slightly.

"For spending all this time to teach me." The tall, slender, green and black femme grinned appealingly, her blue optics bright in her pale cream face.

"It's no trouble." Prowl smiled slightly as he turned toward the door, one hand inviting her to walk beside him. "It's a pleasure to work with someone of your ability."

Witchblade's grin widened, and then turned to a happy exclamation as she saw Koko step out of the tree room.

The black femme paused, her serious expression lightening at sight of her mate's smile and their student's greeting. "How did the lesson go?"

"It was pretty good." Witchblade gave a little bounce on her feet.

"It went well." Prowl put out a hand and took Koko's, seeing the pleased surprise in her optics.

"Good," she said. "I'm glad."

Witchblade chuckled and bounced a little more. "I'm gonna go stand on the roof. See you, guys!"

"Yes, see you later." Koko watched her go, then turned back to Prowl with a smile. "It's good to see you reaching out again."

He sighed and put his other hand on her shoulder, his head bowed slightly as he looked away. "Witchblade needed help."

"And helping her is restoring your faith in your own ability to do good." Koko nodded, then gently slipped her hand from his so that she could put her arms around him, praying and hoping that he'd be able to respond this time without recoiling and retreating.

He hesitated, and her spark sank.

But then it soared as his arms went around her gently and she felt a kiss pressed to her helm.

"Yes," he said softly.

"Welcome back." She put her head against his shoulder, clearing the static from her vocal processor.

Prowl only rocked gently on his feet, his engine purring softly.

Then he chuckled as he heard a spirited argument between Witchblade and Bumblebee.

"I think our resident speed expert has a crush," murmured Koko, shaking with her own silent laughter. "Witchblade's so lovely, I'm not surprised."

"Not as lovely as you." Prowl smiled as he said the words.

"She's prettier, and you know it. Even Ratchet stops to look at her." Koko poked him gently in the side and was rewarded by a slight squirm and another chuckle.

Then she sobered. "Do you think Lockdown will go after her again?"

"I don't know." Prowl frowned. "She's too new to have gained any bounties on her head, and he usually doesn't hunt just for the sake of trophies- interesting though her blade may be."

Koko looked up at him, her expression showing her concern.

He kissed her on the forehead. "Optimus has asked her not to go out alone. That should alleviate any danger."

Koko nodded and sighed, then chuckled again as the argument in the living room was interrupted by a bark of Ratchet ire.

"Do you want to drive into the mountains?" asked Prowl, smiling.

She perked and looked up. "Yes! We haven't had a chance to look at the snow."

"Alright." He let go of her and slipped his hand into hers. "Let's go."
