Headaches, sinus pains, fevers, lightheadedness, stomach aches, nausea, chest pains, sore muscles, puking, sore joints, inflamed lymph nodes, depression, rapid weight loss, sensitivity to light and sound, hot sweats, cold sweats, sore throats, temporary change in voice, and enlarged tonsils.
Not your average laundry list.
In retrospect, mono wasn't that bad. Sure, I was falling apart, but its not like it wasn't happening by then anyways. And at most I would have only two of these symptoms at once. Drugs helped. Phone calls worked even better.
I'm feeling better now. I'm eating better. I'm working out again. I'm not exactly caught up with my homework yet, but that will come in time. I can honestly say I've been through the worst, and I'm not worried about the future anymore. I've said all I can offer on the subject.
Of course by now, I'm getting better at counting. Counting symptoms (20), counting pounds (135), counting push-ups, crunches, sets (too many to remember), counting phone calls (never enough), counting homework assignments, and counting days until Hannah comes home. Which couldn't come sooner.
Soon my friend Michael will get his $10,000 reward for being assaulted on school grounds. The douchebag was expelled from Minuteman, and just bought Mike a brand new 950-watt amp for his guitar. Big ups for the court system. Big downs for a day in the hospital and 55 stitches.
I'm pretty much back to normal now, the only symptoms being loss of sleep, and a lot of catching up to do.
In more ways than one.
