Just one hell of a day!!!

This morning I woke up giddy a as school boy on his first day of school. I haven't had that happen in so long, that it was so weird. At 6:30 this morning I was just rearing to go to the beach and even considered calling RR to see if I could get her to skip work. Decided against that one.

She got here around 930 so we were well on our way by 10. By 12 we were already burning. It was great. Ok so not the burning part.

The water was about 72 or so with a mid to high 80's air temp. Sky partly cloudy changing to clear. Beach packed around the pier but open to the south.

Ended up putting on a lot of sun block but forgetting the legs and tops of the feet. Big surprise there right. I must have had a blond moment or something.

We swam, walked, swam, walked, walked, walked, and walked. (With some more swimming in there). When we left, we measured the distance that we walked and figured out that we walked just over 10 miles all day. When you’re on sand does that count for more?

Left the beach at 6 and drove to Wilmington for dinner, forgetting of course that it was the 4th of July and all the masses of people that were associated with it. This means of course that we drove around a lot before deciding to head away from the docks and towards UNCW.

I highly recommend a place called Old Chicago. It’s Italian. The waitress was definalt blatantly flirting, and a total ditz, though that could be because she might have been high. (Jury’s still out on that one). How else do you spill more water on the floor then in a glass when you’re pouring it, then claim that it’s really hard to pore out of a pitcher?

All I can say now as I get ready for bed is that I am extremely lucky right now and hope to remain lucky. So this is Lucky and burnt (my legs are swollen as are the tops of my feet), signing off.
