BOLLOCKS!
So my DVR was giving me an error message, despite the fact that it was working ok. Comcast told me to reset it, which made the error go away.
"Any other questions?" Dude asked.
"Is there a date for the TiVo OS load?" I inquired.
"I can force a firmware update" Dude said. "Just do blah blah blah".
"Great" I say.
Well, it downloads the new OS then locks up my box. Another bout with tech support later, they have to remotely reset my box. They told me I was probably going to lose all my recordings and recording settings. I was pissed. I was 60% full of unwatched content. Thank god I didn't lose anything. But, to top it all off, it's not even the TiVo OS. It's a .05 version upgrade from what I had.
Assholes.
