I bought a new car
I bought a new car two weeks ago:
2008 Honda Civic LX Sedan
It's pretty sweet. I've been getting 35 mpg too which is awesome. I'm trying a few things in attempts to boost my mileage. I can either take the highway to work or take a road that's near highway conditions but at a slower speed that might prove useful.
I'll have to take some sexy pics with it after i wash off the bugs.
Work is going well.
I've been working a lot of overtime recently (I say "a lot" by my own terms, but it's probably minuscule by other's terms) But it's nice in that I get paid "time" for the overtime (as opposed to time.5).
I've been more self reliant as of late. This bodes well for the possibility of promotion at the end of the year. I have the chance of being promoted to level II Mechanical Engineer as well as obtaining official MRB (Material Review Board) status (which basically means that i know my shit when it comes to designing and evaluating structural repairs.)
Recently I've been drooling over the thought of taking on a few subjects on an independent study basis. There are a few books I have been meaning to look over. They're all aeronautical structures textbooks so I'll spare the kinky details but i have two on hand already and a coworker has suggested a couple of others.
I am such a geek. It's an awesome feeling.
