In this post: driving lessons, clothes, wanking, a poll, video, and Harry Potter b-day stuff :D
Ugh, I hate getting bad/annoying news to start off the day: I may have to go to this likely unfun trip with my parents to Oakland since the tickets can't be refunded (I don't think we'll have time to go to San Fran so not worth it!) and my parents are possibly switching offices for their mediations and I like their old office :( So I'm sort of pissed off so I'll post right now before anything else bothers the hell out of me.
+ Driving lesson...went alright. The instructor was this Hispanic guy who was nice and I had to drive this somewhat large ginger boy back home to the Palisades (ugh). When we started out he asked me what I've been practicing on and I said, "A Jag." He said, "Oh, so I guess this is a downgrade *laughs*" I told him no but it just felt different. It wasn't THAT bad of a car. Just boring. But at least it wasn't a motercycle with a sidecar (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, SIRIUS' BLACK MOTERCYLCE!)
Anyway, I'm really am not a fan of curving roads or that part of PCH (but I did get to just turn my head and see the ocean which looked fab yesterday. Beaches always look the best from 4:00-7:00 in my opinion.
Anyway, on the way back he made me stop along venice (the part around culver city/Motor), pull over (which wasn't good because I was searching for the bit to park in the wrong place (I made the windshield wipers go off...because thats where they are in the Jag). I'm too used to driving the Jag), and he got out of the car and walked a couple blocks TO PICK UP HIS DINNER. I mean, he kept talking about his dinner waiting for him and he was talking to someone on the phone about it but I thought it was at home, not for takeout. I don't even know what he picked up exactly but it was a styrofoam multi compartment thingy and an Evian. Remember when Evian was like supposed to be tres chiq? I guess not so much anymore.
Anyway, I guess to make up for the dinner thing he quizzed me on like controls in the car (I didn't do so well on a couple) and other stuff and he was like, "Get blah blah blah wrong, you fail the test." Thanks. Anyway, eventually got back to my neighborhood and he made me drive past my street to practice backing up. I put the car in reverse and looked into my mirros and all but apparently I did it wrong ("Okay, do that on the test and you fail"). But in the end he said I did a very good job and I'm good at slowing down and accelerating but I need work changing lanes (I...sort of disagree) as well as my tendency to slow down when I feel like cars are going to fast perpendicular to me/when people are getting out of their cars/my depth perception in general.
Whatever :\
+ In other news, I need to do some clothes shopping. What should I get? I'm tempted to get platforms but I'm tall enough already and It'll look awkward.
+ I really love TV Land to pieces.
...Clearly nothing really new has happened since yesterday so onto more random/fandomy things:
+ You know Alec Hopkins (the guy who played young!Snape in OotP)? Yeah, well, he's a lot cuter when he's not in character. This is some student film he was in at ~*~uni~*~ and...I can't handle the cuteness:

OKAY, THAT'S ALL FOR TODAY. NOW I MUST GO DO DISHES ( D: ) AND PRACTICE PIANO BEFORE MY MOM HAS A NERVY B. Oh, and I think I'm going to start up the latest GN book again tonight. Hurrah!
ETA: Oh, and since there are so many fans of my parents on my flist, this is what happened when the driving instructor came to my house.
Dad: She's not going to drive yet.
Mom: Yes she is O_o
Dad: Ohhh.
