OKAY! HERE WE GO! OOTP AHOY!

It's the first time I've seen an HP movie at midnight and...I REALLY enjoyed it. As many of you may or may not know, OotP is my absolute FAVORITE of the series. Hands down. Without question. So, unlike many of the others, I was a bit more picky about it! Still, this is my favorite movie of them all thus far.

But first, I'll start with the things I DIDN'T like. Why am I starting with that? Mostly to get it off my chest and end this post on a happy note:

Things that I wasn't fond of/Pissed me off:

HOW ABOUT WE ALL GET THIS OFF OUR CHESTS: WHERE WAS THE REST OF SNAPE'S WORST MEMORY?! WHERE ARE YOU, FAVORITE PART OF OOTP?! HUH? HUH? HUH?

I READ AN EARLY REVIEW THAT SAID THAT IT WAS A FEW MINTUES LONG AND THAT MADE ME UPSET, BUT NOW I'D KILL FOR THAT COUPLE OF MINUTES RATHER THAN 15 SECONDS OF...SNAPE! I WANTED ME SOME MORE MARAUDER MEANNESS AND SNAPE CALLING LILY A MUDBLOOD!

The way Sirius died was SO unexpected! I mean, I wasn't even sure she really hit him or not because he was staggering about like he was just stabbed in the stomach. But then I saw him groan and tip over like a cow and I gasped, "NO D:"

When I really think about it, his death wasn't even dramatic in the books: He fell through an effing curtain by accident. But I was still hoping they'd exaggerate it A BIT on film.

So...where was the rest of the prophecy? Would it have REALLY been so hard to put the whole thing in? Only a couple more seconds were needed!

OH HAY THAR, SUPER GINNY. I hate to say that it didn't bother me that much but made me roll my eyes a bit and think, "oh for fuck's sake!" But other haters of super!Ginny, think of it this way: she can only do one charm. It's okay. Be calm my bbs. Let's wait for the real mess to start in HBP.

I WANTED MORE ZACHARIAS! HE WAS GOOD!

And onto the many things I loved about this movie...

Things I loved/MOAR PLZ!:

The directing and cinematography = THE BEST YET. 100% GRADE A FABOSITY. Honestly, it was beautiful and I loved how it wasn't just a continuous sort of technique the entire time like in the other films (especially the first two). The movement really matched that of the viewer which I LOVED LOVED LOVED. *Bows down to David Yates*

I felt like I was watching an actual school even more so than in GoF. Even the littlest thing like music playing in the common room was fabulous and it felt like I was actually around teenagers.

Most of the changes and alterations fit the film so well. For example, different ways of information being passed to a character or ways of discovering something were very smooth and felt natural.

OH DAN RAD, YOU'VE IMPROVED BB. YOU GET A GOLD STAR! :3

Seriously, I actually REALLY enjoyed him in this. The dramatic scenes weren't overdone thank God.

RON HAS A BACKBONE! The audience cheered when he stood up for Harry. And the fight between Seamus and Harry was GREAT. Haha, Harry called Seamus' mom stupid. ILU CAPSLOCK!HARRY.

Luna. Nuff said.

You know what, I like the whole cast in this movie. I even looked past Fred and George's short hair and found them, as usual, full of lulz.

I loved the city scenes and the part when Harry first went into the Ministry. Even little details like the paper boy in the entrance hall was nice. I even liked the elevators.

The newspaper headlines filling the screen were good too. Such a lively movie!

The flashback/possession was really well done too. Harry actually sort of scared the crap out of me and the memories made me so sad D:

Haha, SNAPE IZ IN UR MINDZ, LOOKIN AT UR MEMORIEZ. I loved when Harry was like, "Bitch, that is PRIVATE" and Snape was like, "Bitch plz does it look like I give a rat's ass?"

So much Sirry going on! I liked it. But I miss the Remus/Sirius!

THEY DID THE SIRIUS' HEAD IN THE FIRE CORRECTLY! THANK GOD!

Ickle cowering!Snape was sort of...depressingly cute :(

YAY AT HERMIONE NOTICING HARRY ON THE GROUND AND GOING, "OH NOEZ!" Favorite H/Hr bit I think.

Imelda's Umbridge = PERFECT. 100% PERFECT.

Harry/Cho snog = NEARLY SOFT CORE PR0N. It never seemed to end but it was really hot and cute so okay :)

I'm a horrible H/Hr shipper for saying this but I thought Ron's attempt to help Hermione from Grawp was REALLY cute. Too bad Harry looked like he didn't give a damn :\ Bad day?

OMFG WHEN SIRIUS SAID "GOOD ONE, JAMES" OR WHATEVER TO HARRY BEFORE HE DIED. OH MY GOD, THAT KILLED ME. KILLED ME. Harry was like, "Wait...:O"

Okay, even though I'm pissed about SWM being so short, the way the scene looked was delicious. The yellow tone and...I'm sorry, but the guy who played James actually looked pretty damn cute and asshatness.

All I can say to those who wanted the scene to be longer: DVD EXTRAS!!!

This movie really did have more laugh out loud moments than any of the others, from Dudley post dementor, to Mrs. Figg, to Hitler!Flitwick pumping his fist, to Neville giving Ron a black pride sign (major lulz), and, finally, to Sirius going up to Lucius and going, "TAKE YER HAND OFF MY GODSON, BITCH! *PUNCH*" (we all cheered a lot then too! XD), etc etc etc.

Post Sirius dying was so dramatic. I'm glad there was no sound for Harry's screams and such ;_;

I liked Frank Longbottom a lot. And...I think I saw Lupin in a sweater vest in the Original OotP photo. SO CANON. But where is the Cardigan?

Arthur getting attacked was really good too. Loved the blood!

Harry and Neville bonding was really touching.

Dudley's gang = my new bffs. They'd totally be chavs if it didn't take place in the 90's. And Petunia and Vernon were great and so deeply missed!

I already mentioned this but the look of the movie was just SO drool worthy, right?.

I sort of want to grope Seamus now. Yeah. This movie was full of sexy.

Okay, it's nearly 4:00 am now and I've taken about an hour doing this so, yeah. I'm totally seeing this again ASAP. I'll give more details about other things that went on tonight later but for now, goodnight and give me your thoughts as well!
