Proof that I need to get off the internet: Day details, 5 photos, recs, and the usual randomness

+ Yesterday I did a lot of shopping with my mom. I went to he mall and also dropped by Lens Crafters (a different one than before). The people were a lot nicer but the problem is that with my prescription and the lenses they are offering me, the best kind would be about $175 (the cheaper one may not work for my frames). It would take 2 weeks for them to order the lenses but once they get to Lens Crafters, it would take them an hour to put them into my frames. We said we'd think about it and then went to Albertsons and then to the Costco right next to it...which always creeps me out because it is SO BIG and you have to do a lot of maneuvering with shopping carts.

Anyway, also dropped by the optometrist area at Costco and they could do a different lenses that would work for my prescription and frames and is only about $75 but they'd actually need my glasses for 2 WEEKS to do it. FUCK. NO. I'D DIE. OR FALL OFF A MOUNTAIN OR OFF MY BALCONY OR SOMETHING. I'M NEARLY BLIND W/O THEM.

My mom suggests I get cheap glasses at the store to wear temporarily but with MY prescription that probably won't cut it (and they are ugly). So we are in quite the pickle :(

+ Onward with pictures and such. It is mostly a mini-picspam of my old purse, new purse, and other stuff that I got recently. I had to use photoshop on a couple to get the color right. Warning: Lots of consumer nerding :( You'll see what I mean...

Here is me with my old purse. My mom got it for me maybe a year and a half ago or so. I was reluctant to change to it but I grew to become quite fond of it. It was big enough for everything pretty much XP But the zipper started to eff up a couple months ago and it got very dirty and I never got around to washing it. It also just had too much junk in it (not to mention mashed up JUMBO SMARTIES. My parents said it was time for a new one but it took me a while to find the perfect one until yesterday at American Eagle...

OH HAY THAR NEW LOVE OF MY LIFE ♥

NEW PURSE! I was unsure at first about the size and such but it is SO me. It's my favorite color, had compartments in the front, good interior, large enough. The only thing I need to get used to is the lack of much adjusting on the shoulder strap and it sometimes slips off my shoulder. But that's alright, it's a matter of adapting. Oh, and the little buckles on the front have little magnetic buttons instead of actually buckling it.

The interior is really nice too and I'm always VERY picky about interior of purses. As you can see, it's polka dot patterned and has one zippy compartment and one solo one perfect for my cell phone (my old purse had three extra compartments all different sizes but...what can ya do :\).

Here is the tie that I bought with the Jackson Pollock dress. I used photoshop to show the colors better because the camera didn't really show it's true awesomeness. Reminds me of Harry Potter too so I obviously had to buy it.

Oh, and my dad bought me a new Baby-G watch (the blue one) for no reason that I'm aware of but I don't mind; I've always wanted more than one watch on one arm.

+ Dropped by school and with the help of a couple of security people I got my cell phone back! I'm glad somebody turned it in. I'm almost positive I left it in THE library alcove by the window I was in after school on Friday w/ Hannah...

Then I went with my mom to drop something off at the office of some Japanese physical therapy guy. On the way my mom was yelling at my dad and hurting my ears and got all disoriented.

My mom + anger + driving down Wilshire while it is drizzling = CRAZY.

Anyway, I took a picture of these old Japanese people who were in our room while we were waiting at the elevator. Then we went to a French restaurant for a late breakfast and they had THE BEST COFFEE EVER. I think it was the special sugar. Yeah, so breakfast was good (crepes and omelets) but my mom wasn't fully satisfied (she wanted something meaty I reckon) and it cost at lot of money ($27 for 2 people...ooer...at least I liked it)

+ Homemade curry chicken = best thing ever. Y/Y?

Especially with wild rice (THANKS, UNCLE BEN!) and cabbage.

+ I can't help but be interested.

+ This fan art will ruin your day. At least it's gorgeous. It's a collab by maria_abagnale, reallycorking, and mudblood428. And for some reason, I don't remember recing this fan art of Lily for hp_tarot by faire_weather.

BUT. My favorite fan art at the mo is THIS GORGEOUS THING Just look at it! Hannah (_aberystwyth) drew line art of it a while ago for me and she finally got around to coloring it and it is delicious. Honestly. If you don't check it out I will do something I won't regret >_>
