Decided to play some Grand Theft Auto today. About a week ago, I started over from the beginning so I could go through the whole game without cheating. You know, so I wouldn't get the "Warning! Cheats activated! May corrupt game save!" message every time I went to a save house. So I do. Beat every mission and almost all side missions. I was pretty fucking proud of myself. I've got 4 game saves: 3 of which I cheated like a mofo and 1 squeaky clean save. So I go to play on the one save that is cheat-free. "LOAD FILE FAILED! Restarting game."
My world came crashing down.
Grand Theft Auto is by no means a small game. San Andreas is two times as fucking big as Vice City and Vice City was big. Easily 20 hours of gameplay just with the regular missions with a side of mass homicide, but all that other shit in (getting cool haircuts, pimping hoes, valet parking, base jumping off the top of builings) just adds hours of super-great gameplay. But it's all gone now. See, now that i've played through without cheating, I notice all the little things that don't go wrong. Like, when you walk into a bar or casino and the bartender doesn't raise his/her hands as if it was a hold up. Or the way when you get into a new car and the reverse/brake always works. I miss things like that.
PLUS I DID IT WITHOUT FUCKING CHEATING!! DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO GET RID OF 6 FUCKING STARS WHEN YOU DON'T CHEAT?!
I do. I do.
If i've learned anythings from this experience, it's that you should always cheat, not matter the consequences.
