I wonder...
Petunia had said in book one that her parents were pleased to have a witch in the family. Petunia said: "...they were proud of having a witch in the family." (found on page 53, US version) Were they simply fascinated by it or were they proud because they were squibs and didn't know if they could have magical children? (though maybe one was a squib and one a muggle) Could Petunia's knowledge of the wizarding world (revealed to us starting with OotP) be more than just the result of being Lily's sister? Could Albus have been keeping constant contact (without Vernon's knowledge) with Petunia over the years as a way of keeping Harry safe? What more will we learn of Petunia and Lily?
