(no subject)
It's a busy week this week! I have the 4th of July off school, so that means tomorrow is the last lab day before our final practical on Thursday, and my final lecture exam on friday! EEK!
This weekend at work was extremely hard - I had to be at work from 6am to 10pm Saturday because we had a picnic for one of my favorite clients that passed away. She had a really bad seizure that caused her to fall out of her bed and crack her head... she passed away due to complications from this injury (brain damage). She has never had any family close to her at all, and I had heard horrible things about her sister and well... she is not a nice person. But she did come by the picnic (for about half an hour) and show us some baby pictures, which was sweet of her. I have to say, after looking at them that I can't understand how you could live in someone's life for 20 years or more and then all of a sudden not see or contact them for the second half of their lifetime.... how f-ing selfish is that!!!! (sorry, I get worked up when I start thinking about that.) My boss paid to have the body cremated, and each staff member that was close to her got a small urn with some ashes... I luckily have a couple photos of her so I will be able to remember her with these mementos.
After the picnic I went back to the house and cleaned, made dinner, etc. But I couldn't sleep when I got home. I got approx. an hour of sleep before I woke up and went back to work Sunday morning - I was exhausted all day and then the girl who was supposed to come and relive me at 2 was 2 and a half hours late.... (long story there... I was annoyed).
For the 4th I'm sure I'll hang out with my parents in the morning and have lunch at home, but Dustin and I go every year to the symphony in Thronton before the fireworks display. Hopefully it won't rain and be FREEZING like last year! I can remember Dustin nick and I making a little fort on the grass with blankets, camp chairs, and a single umbrella last year and trying to huddle under it. We finally gave up and went back to Nick's house and watched MST3K I believe.
We were also hoping to have a BBQ at Dustin's house Thursday night because his parent's get back from vacation on Saturday, but no one has been able to come so far.... bummer.
Then I work next weekend and I am packing monday for my VERY early flight on Tuesday morning. Parentals are driving me to the bus stop at 4am to take the Skyride to DIA for my 6:50 flight to Chicago. Yuck.
Then I get to see my favorite Aunt for a few days and my grandpa! Then I come home and start working a lot more shifts until HARRY flipping POTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SQUEEE!
I have a lot I need to get done:
1. buy some sample size shampoo, conditioner, and toothpaste to carry on the plane so I don't have to check any bags.
2. get suitcase out of storage under the stairs.
3. find out grade on last lab practical
4. Make t-shirt for HP release
5. bead necklace for Aunt for thank you gift for letting me stay with her.
6. get directions to parking for friday night
7. apply for mastercard
8. call Dell about double billing
