Missing ingredients

I've had a small butternut squash sitting around forever, waiting for me to prepare a recent recipe from http://orangette.blogspot.com/. I had most of the ingredients, but never go around to getting the cilantro or red onion. I went ahead and made a variation of it for lunch and it was delicious. I could have taken a picture, but the camera was in the car and I was hungry. I've never cooked with butternut squash before, although I've had it. The recipe calls for chickpeas and god knows, I keep a billion cans of those in stock.

Many months ago, I began a battle of sorts...the battle of Jen vs. Right Eyeball. The rate at which I was managing to poke my eye became alarming and I began to wonder if I'd inadvertently had a gypsy curse placed on me. I don't even remember how it was happening, but I'm pretty sure the last time it happened...something broke. It's been almost 3 months since the last attack and I still wake up with a sore eye. If I rub it, I can feel the spot. My vision hasn't changed, it still sucks but hasn't gotten worse. Maybe I'll end up with a glass eye. I'd get a totally different color. There is no moral to the story here. Just stay away from my eye.

I'm not sure how I really feel about LJing again. I don't write anything terribly personal, even in Friend's Only entries. I read it so often and participate in my groups...but I'm not sure I'll stick with my own writing.
