Fire, Fire Burning Bright
We've been dealing with Arizona's fires -- when the wind blows the wrong way (from the southwest), we basically get smoked out. Now I know how bees in a hive feel, you really want to get the hell out. So for the sake of our lungs (LA smog was never this bad), we've been making trips into Socorro.
This is not a bad thing -- we've been making them useful trips to get stuff we need (like rain barrels for our rain catchment system, and fencing that's almost up).
Now if the wind will just stop for a time (the firefighters want that too), we can get a few more things done.
Let us hope July will be less windy -- and then we can get the wind turbine up for power, too, and we'll welcome some breezes back.
