Title: Chain Reaction [6/8]
Pairing: Zikyung
Rating: PG [?]
Summary: The story of how it all began. [Yes really]
Note: Sorry for the failure of a summary, but I couldn't write anything else without it sounding sucky. Since - as far as I know - there aren't any chaptered fics for Zikyung, and there are barely any fics for them full stop, I thought I'd get the ball rolling! Enjoy? [Also, the girls don't and wont have names~] Sorry for not updating in a while, I'm currently away BUT, there are -3- new chapters today to make up for it.

Jiho had full intentions to continue his plan; he was going to get rid of Kyung’s girlfriend, no matter what. Whether Kyung loved him at the end was irrelevant, if not a nice bonus. Since he could no longer cut down their time together directly, it had to be indirectly. Jiho’s first class of the day was English, one of the two classes that he had with Kyung’s girlfriend without Kyung. His plan was simple; get her in trouble - even if it meant getting in trouble too - and then have her held back in class and/or given detention. It may sound stupid, but their English teacher was strict. Having caused trouble in that class before, Jiho knew exactly how to irritate him.

First, he started passing her notes, of course something had to be written in them, so in the first one, he ‘apologised’ for being rude before and suggested they start over. But after that, each note was filled with jokes and funny quips, plenty to make her burst out laughing and catch the teacher’s attention, and it did. “You, there. What’s so funny, huh? Whatever it is, stop it. This is your first and only warning. Get back to work.”

She bowed and apologised, but shot Jiho a laughing ‘Oh my god’ look, only encouraging him to send another note. Of course, with his best joke yet. Upon reading it, she erupted into laughter, drawing the attention of the whole class. “I can assure you that whatever you’re finding funny won’t seem as funny in detention every night this week. Get back to work and come back here for detention straight after school, for 2 hours.” She rose, bowed and apologised again before sitting down and glancing over at Jiho who shot her his best apologetic look as he mouthed ‘Sorry’. Like hell was he sorry, it was all part of the plan.

After successfully getting Kyung’s girlfriend detention, he made a bee-line for Kyung. “Hey, I’m sorry about last time.” Kyung smiled, “It’s okay, I shouldn’t have reacted like that.” Jiho throat before continuing, “Want to hang out tonight?” He smiled, which Kyung returned once again. “Ahh, I can’t, I’m supposed to be hanging out with my girlfriend tonight, I’m sorry.” Jiho felt his heart pang at the mention of her but he had to continue with the plan. “She hasn’t told you yet?” “Told me what?” Kyung seemed to always be confused these days. “She got detention today…It was sort of my fault, sorry Hyung.” Jiho’s apologetic look was genuine this time, as much as he wanted Kyung’s girlfriend out of the way, he didn’t want to upset Kyung himself.

“Well, we can hang out after all then!” Kyung beamed, trying to make light of Jiho’s guilt. Only Kyung could make Jiho feel any remorse for acting badly, if it was anyone else Jiho wouldn’t care, showing just how much more Jiho’s feelings were growing. He wasn’t sure if he’d be able to continue hiding them. “Great! Want to come to mines straight after school then?” Kyung gave a sound of approval as he nodded. The next step of the plan was complete.

As the end of school rapidly approached, Jiho became more and more aware that he hadn't planned much further than getting Kyung to hang out with him instead of his girlfriend. What could he do from then on to keep his girlfriend away? He could continue to try to get her detention, but after a while surely she would ignore him, and his intentions would become clear. Jiho wasn't sure what to do, but he was sure that he just wanted to spend some time with Kyung; so he'd do that .

The bell rang to signal the end of school and Jiho headed towards the gates. He couldn't stop the smile blossoming on his face as he saw Kyung already waiting for him, it grew even more as Kyung smiled over at him. It was Jiho he was smiling at, not his girlfriend. Jiho couldn't help but take guilty pleasure in that fact. That he was the one being smiled at, he was the one being waited on and he was the one Kyung was going to be hanging out with that night. Perhaps that's what it felt like to be dating him? But then again, it wasn't much different from how they usually were.

“Hey!” Kyung beamed, every time he smiled like that Jiho was sure that his heart had melted, perhaps along with his sense to not think cheesy things. “Hey, you ready?” Kyung nodded in response. Then they set off to an unknown destination. “Jiho-ah, where are we going?” Jiho paused for a moment. “Umm, we could go to my house?” Kyung nodded again, “Sure!” They continued their journey to Jiho's house, talking along the way. It was like the last time, which was also part of Jiho's plan. He felt his happiness at hanging out with Kyung deflate a little as he realised that each time recently, had been a product of his orchestration.

As they arrived at Jiho's house, Kyung thought to himself about how long it had been since they'd last hung out. He felt a little glad that his girlfriend had gotten detention, it was like some magical force had created an intervention. It wasn't that Kyung didn't like hanging out with his 'girlfriend', but now she thought he was gay, she only spoke about girl things and other guys. It did hurt him, but he felt like it was helping him get over her; ready for the real break up. He was still curious though, as to what made her so sure he was gay. Wouldn't he know if he was?

The two made their way into Jiho's house and into the living room, throwing themselves on his couch. “So, what do you want to do?” Jiho asked, folding his arms behind his head with a smile. Kyung looked around the room, searching for some kind of help in deciding, before turning back to Jiho with a sly smile. “Your parents are out right?” Jiho nodded. “Got any alcohol?” Jiho returned his grin with equal eagerness. “I do! This way.” Kyung followed Jiho to his room and over to his 'secret stash' of alcohol. Jiho pulled out a pack of 6 bottles; plenty to have fun with, without getting caught.

2 bottles each later, and the two were sufficiently tipsy, staggering around Jiho's room and laughing like hyenas. Jiho especially, had always had a strange reaction to any alcohol, Kyung wondered why he drank it. Alcohol made him sneeze a lot, but also stripped him of all his swag, leaving him a mass of aegyo. Kyung had never previously witnessed it first hand, but had heard a lot of stories about it. However, the stories did not do justice. He genuinely believed he would never see anything funnier.

But Jiho pulled it off surprisingly well, Kyung even found himself calling him cute. “Kyunggie...can I have a hug?” Jiho pulled the most aegyo filled expression possible, leaving Kyung a puddle on the floor. Of course he could have a hug, who could refuse aegyo Jiho? Kyung staggered over to where Jiho was and crouched down to give him a hug. He wrapped his arms around him and just sat there, listening to him breathe. Kyung felt like his stomach was a little queasy, like it was spinning. Thinking that it was the alcohol, he quickly pulled away from Jiho in case he was sick on him. But then it stopped. A soft thud was heard as Kyung realised that Jiho had actually fallen asleep on him.

He moved him carefully so he was on his bed, but he almost dropped him as the spinning sensation in his stomach returned. As he held Jiho up, as if they were embracing, Kyung felt as if his skin burned along with his churning stomach. Perhaps he'd come down with something? When Kyung finally let go of Jiho, it all stopped again. Then as he tucked Jiho under his covers, his fingers burned as they grazed his skin, but when he moved away again, it stopped.

Kyung's over active mind was set in motion, thoughts spinning around, trying to decipher the reason why he felt like that. The answer that came up the most was 'Because of Jiho'. Kyung didn't understand, again, why would it be because of Jiho? Was he allergic to the cologne he was wearing or something? That would explain a lot, but Kyung was only allergic to cats. Maybe he'd been around cats? Who was he kidding, the only cat Jiho could and would ever be able to stand was Hello Kitty, he hated when cats whined. As thoughts continued to fly around, looking for another possible reason, Kyung studied Jiho's sleeping face, trying to distract his mind.

Kyung could see why so many girls liked him, he was definitely very good looking, and a little bit cute; especially his ever so slightly chubby cheeks. It wasn't all about looks though, despite being 'hardcore' Jiho was actually really sweet, what every girl would want in a boyfriend, he was funny too. He was exactly the type of person Kyung would date. Wait, no. No. No he wasn't. He was a 'he', Kyung dated 'she's. Kyung shook his head, trying to get rid of the thought, but the churning feeling was back, and this time his cheeks burned and his heart felt like it was going to burst. Then a small voice in the back of Kyung's mind whispered once more, 'Because of Jiho' and Kyung realised that's exactly what the problem was, Jiho really was the type of person he'd date. He'd fallen for his friend, his male best friend.
