It feels very off being in Centenial Library. It's not home. Things are done different here. The rerout area makes me confused. Half the check-in station is at one part of circulation. The other half is on the other side. It's awkward here. But this library has a great deal more study rooms of varying sizes. I wish I had known about them years ago. Maybe I would have done more studying here. Maybe I wouldn't have quite the level of culture shock I do now.
It's not that I wont be able to adjust. I have to therefore I will. I will also adjust to Parish Library. They have to keep us bouncing back and forth until Zimmerman is reopened so that we can stay employed. My point is that being forced to adjust to this new environment makes me more appriciate the place I come form. I may complane about my job at Zimmerman, but I also love my job. My library is home. I hope I can go back soon.
