Single purpose

It is the first day of the last semester of my schooling. A new roommate came yesterday. And recently the question has been “Where is your place?”

I am in a different place than I was 7 years ago. Literally. In Los Angeles I joined the navy in 2008, trained up in South Carolina and Connecticut, stationed in Oahu (with the best submarine), traveled all over the Pacific. In 2014 I exited the navy and became a resident and student of Hawaii, a place which has challenged me to my core.

As I reflect back, I see I have a loving family and friends both in California and Hawaii. I see God’s reign over my mess. I see his worth as he takes my place.

Where is my place? MLJ said that God takes a divided man and makes him have a single purpose: Christ’s. I see that he’s working on me. It just took 33 years to get here.

Hoping a job pops up here though!
