Oh, I forget the name. Earth is destroyed, humanity is scattered, one kid has the map built into his body to find a device to create a new home-world for humanity to claim.

* Favorite female anime character?
Ai (NOEIN) The best of what you remember from your childhood BFF.
* Favorite male anime character?
Ichinomiya Kantarou (Tactics). He's the only interesting one who I could imagine existing as an actual person (although a deluded one if not in his own world), because he has so many internal self-contradictions and has to get along in a pretty ordinary world where you have to pay your bills. I also adore Konzen as a character, and Gojun as a character design (the way he's drawn--we don't get to know much about who he is)(both from Saiyuki Gaiden).
* Most annoying anime character you have ever come across?
Wow, this is a hard one. I think a lot of characters from various anime are fucking annoying. How to choose from among Miho (NOEIN), Suzu (Tactics), or Lyrin (Saiyuki)?
* Best ‘bad guy’ you’ve seen in anime?
Lady Eboshi from Princess Mononoke.
* What mecha would you love to pilot?
Not really into mecha so I don't have a suggestion.
* Which anime ‘world’ would you like to be a part of?
Tactics. It is interesting (even if you can't see the supernatural creatures) and relatively safe.
* Name an anime that went way above your expectations?
NOEIN It's what started me on being an anime fan. I couldn't believe that the Japanese were putting such complex ideas about society in front of their kids as cartoon fare. (and I'm not talking about the physics techno-babble here).
* Name an anime that was bitterly disappointing?
Naruto I never understood the fascination and I never will.
* Name the most obscure/ ‘unpopular’ anime you’ve seen?
MushiShi. I've probably seen other obscure ones but this is the only obscure one I can remember (and maybe its not so obscure).

I don't have a favorite theme song, but there are some songs that are not the theme song from animes but that I really like. Kono Sekai no Katasumi De, from Tactics, performed by Kouki Miyata, Open Up Your Mind from Saiyuki, performed by Mirai...

Yes.

To be honest I haven't read a lot of manga. Tactics has a special place in my heart, possibly because I'm reading it in Japanese instead of fansubs.

MushiShi. I just finished it. No fan-service. Quiet. Intriguing.
