It was sunny not five minutes ago and now it's torrentially downpouring, as it had been earlier.
So I watched Veronica Mars last night.
Well, I'd just been griping about how Dick's plotline went nowhere when they bring it back this week. The return of Big Dick and their confrontation was, I thought, pretty great. And bringing up Dick's feelings in regards to the Beav and his death was a long time coming, but maybe worth the wait. Still, it would've been nice to at least have had a little more cohesiveness in his storyline over the course of the season.
The past two week's episodes have both been pretty good, which is nice. I mean, they're no "Trip to the Dentist" but they've been consistently better than the rest of the season. Plus Paul Rudd just ruled last week.
Piz has very seriously grown on me. I mean, I tried to hold out on not liking him, but once he did that dance with the cape at the frat party? I was a goner. Plus he and Veronica are pretty cute and someone's going to kill me for saying this, but I think he's better for Veronica than Logan. Yep, I said it. Unfortunately Veronica and Logan I think have gotten to a point where there's so much past between them and so many many cases of fucking up on both their parts that salvaging their relationship might be a lost cause. This doesn't mean I don't completely still heart both of them, but I always liked it when they were snarking at each other better anyway.
I'm totally glad Mac dumped Bronson cause his face bothered me. Plus Max is a bit of loser but totally adorable and it's totally legitimate for Mac to go through an adorable loser stage. I'm a little torn about their jumping into bed together thing though. Well, I just think that in the beginning of the season she was all messed-up and "frigid" after the whole deal with Cassidy and then Bronson came along and it was like, "Oh! Problems? What problems?" and they started doing the hanky-panky without any further ado. Which could've been chalked up to a one-time thing, but now she broke up with Bronson last week and is sleeping with Max this week. And while I applaud this as being very realistic in terms of normal college-age girls, it strikes me as a weird place to take Mac's character.
Apparently Wallace is going to Africa. Well yay on Wallace getting some screentime, but boo on Wallace not getting much of a plotline.
I'm bored with Sheriff Keith, but the reemergence of Liam was nice and Vinnie is stirring up trouble and that's always fun. And, um, I just don't care about Parker and Logan. Separately, I love them. Together? They're just so dull.
Does it make anyone else really sad to watch the credits and still see Michael Muhney listed? And Francis Capra? Weevil might as well be dead, huh? They should really just cut that shot from the credits. I mean, was Weevil in six episodes this season? What was the point of keeping him on as a regular? Sheesh.
And now it's sunny again.
Watched American Idol and House with Briana last night. Now once they made it to the final three, I was really happy with it and I really don't care who wins, I love all three of them pretty well equally.
But it really should be Melinda Doolittle. She's been the most consistently good, as Simon said, and she's so wonderfully well-rounded in her performances as perfectly showcased last night. So yeah I think Jordin's probably gone this week, as much as I love her and as much as I get goosebumps every time she sings "I Who Have Nothing".
Bwahaha, oh, House. You win for making everyone blame everyone else for ruining Foreman's interview. I still want to know if he's leaving or not cause really I'm so done with his character and I think the writers are too. I love Wilson, by the way, and the Wilson-Cameron-elevator interaction so won. Chase trying to figure out the deal with House and Foreman was pretty hilarious too. And also they so should've just let that kid die, cause jeez, what an asshole. :P
Been watching the third Doctor serial "The Time Monster" today. Benton is so the win.
Dude, when he figured out the Master's plan and snuck back into the lab through the window? Um yeah. He rules. He's so my favourite. Haha, Master, Benton's too smart for you!
Also, has anyone watched the
preview of Chuck on NBC? Amazing! I'm so excited for this show, you don't even know. I love it so much, I was going to wait till shows aired to give them tags, but it's getting one now. ;)
