Finished Lost today.
And yet I also have the day off tomorrow. Don't know what I'm going to do with myself now.
So let's start with my favourite people on the island:
• Hurley - obviously. If I was on the island, Hurley and I would be BFFs.
• Claire - also obviously. Plus I heart that she was an angry goth teenager. Somehow it works.
• Sawyer - he's an asshole, but he makes it work. And you know, hot.
• Desmond - my new best friend. I really wasn't sure about him starting out, but he super grew on me, despite the weird monk-phase.
• Rose - cause she's the shit. Coolest person on the island, hands down.
• Sayid - um cause he's amazing. And he can do no wrong. Even when he fucks up, he's still awesome, which is rare on this island.
• Alex - rebellious teenager for the win.
People I can't freaking stand on the island:
• Locke - I know a lot of people love him, but I'm sorry, he pisses me off more than I can say. He only wins when he verbally pwns Ben.
• Ben - is stupid and needs to die.
• Juliet - it's too bad too cause I like her in her flashbacks, but that island ruined her, man.
• Jack - more and more since he went all Patty Hearst with the Others. Seriously, how did no one mention Stockholm Syndrome about that?
• Michael - loses for killing Hurley's girlfriend. And being too stupid about trying to save Walt.
People I was sorry to see go:
• Shannon - it was just so out of nowhere too. And, I felt, a little unresolved.
• Mr. Eko - cause he was awesome. And clearly pretty right about that hatch.
• Charlie - oh Charlie, you had your bad moments, and I think you probably could've just gotten out of that room first, but alas. Plus the most awesome goodbye episode in "Greatest Hits". We'll miss you. Also, if I was on the island, I'd totally sing "You All Everybody" at his funeral.
• Libby - although more for her story potential than anything else. She was a little creepy especially after her bug-eyed Institution flashback.
• Tom - oh he was bad, but in a sympathetic kind of way.
People I don't miss:
• Ana Lucia - stupid, annoying and uber-sucky. I'm glad she didn't stick around too long.
• Nikki and Paulo - what was with that lame storyline? Except for how they died, which was hardcore. Plus it was such a filler-episode.
• Ethan - cause he's just too creepy.
• Locke's dad - cause he sucks at life. I mean, who throws someone out a window? Really?
Other awesome people:
• Penny - aka The Motherfuckin' Shit. I freaking love Penny, man. She's gonna save them... eventually.
• Shephard Sr. - he's drunk and an asshole but oh so cool.
Other sucky people:
• Sun's dad - plus his face is kinda creepy, no?
Also:
• Kate - is cool when she's not whinging over Jack.
• Sun - is a pretty cool lady with WAY too many secrets. I mean, jeez.
• Jin - has his cool days, but is pretty freaking overbearing.
• Bernard - wins cool points for snagging Rose. But otherwise a little... naive.
• Boone - super-hot and I love Ian Somerhalder, but Boone as a character was kind of annoying and in love with his sister. But I liked him more on a second viewing of the show than I did the first time around.
• Walt - meh. He didn't have to go, but I don't particularly miss him or anything.
• Vincent - uh, coolest dog ever.
Theories:
• I'm fairly certain Locke's the one in the coffin in the future. Although I'm not sure why this would cause Jack to want to throw himself off a bridge. Maybe it was just a culmination of things.
• And of course the "he" Kate refers to has to be Sawyer.
That's pretty much all I'm willing to definitively state upon. But I'm super excited for season four. Damn producers and the damn writer's strike aside.
