Title: Twelve Days Of Christmas - Part Two
Pairing: Elijah/Orlando, Elijah/Viggo
Rating: PG13-NC17

The Sun, 16th December
We spotted Orlando Bloom and boyfriend Elijah Wood about town today, getting down to some serious......shopping. The couple, rumoured to be close to splitting, strolled through Oxford Street together. But judging by rather stoney expressions, we don't think much kissing is going to be done under the mistletoe this year!
"I think we should get something arty for Viggo," Orlando said. He was an organised shopper - he was holding a list in one hand and a pen in the other. "I was thinking of a vintage shirt or something."

"Great," Elijah said, dully. He hated Christmas shopping. He didn't mind wandering round shops when there was no pressure to buy anything, but at this time of the year.....Vintage shirt? What would Viggo want with a vintage shirt? He sighed and let Orlando lead the way.

"You're not being much of a help," Orlando commented an hour later. They were in Topshop, scouring for something nice for Orlando's mother.

"What do you want me to do?" Elijah asked unenthusiastically.

"A smile wouldn't kill you."

Elijah wandered round the other side of the racks of dresses. "What about this one?"

Orlando looked up, wrinkled his nose. "My mother wouldn't wear that."

"I think she would. It's nice."

"I don't like it." Orlando moved on. Elijah put the dress back on the rack and followed him.

They broke for lunch at half one, getting a sandwich and finding a bench in the park.

"You know what I'd like from you for Christmas?" Orlando said, out of the blue.

"What?" Elijah asked, picking the cucumber out of his sandwich.

"A day in bed. What about Boxing Day? I'll get some stuff and we can - "

"A day in bed?"

"Yeah. Just relaxing, y'know. Doing what we like when we like."

Elijah sighed. "Orlando...."

"Please, Elijah. We never seem to do anything....intimate....any more."

Elijah wrapped up the remainder of his sandwich, putting it into the brown paper carrying bag it had come
in.

"Why do you - " Orlando started.

"Come on." Elijah stood up, lifting 2 or 3 bags. He was sure Orlando was going to start some sort of
argument, and, quite frankly, he wasn't in the mood. "Lets go. If we get most of our shopping done today we won't need to worry later."

Orlando, mid-sentence, fell silent, and got up too.

"Orli? I'm going now."

Orlando came out of the sitting room, shirt rumpled and looking sleepy.

"Have a good time," he said.

Elijah, in skinny black trousers and grey wool coat, nodded. "Thanks. I'll see you when I get back. Don't wait up."

"I wasn't planning to," Orlando said, and went back into the sitting room.

Elijah, a sad pain welling up in his belly and working its way to his chest, waited alone for his taxi.

"Elijah, nice to see you." Viggo was, as usual, rushing around, talking to sound checkers and lighting directors. "Matt, maybe you could get a kind of goldy colour on the light, instead of just bright white?"

Elijah took off his coat, dumping it casually down. Tonight's gig was in a small music hall - Elijah remembered coming here as a teenager for various things. He wandered out onto the stage, fingering the keys on the piano idly, tapping a microphone. It wasn't turned on yet. The man behind the bar gave him a wink and Elijah smiled back, trying hard to shove Orlando firmly to the back of his mind.
