So I watched Going Postal last night, and it was remarkably good. My initial reaction on seeing Richard Coyle was Rrrrgh I don't like that guy (though I couldn't put my finger on why... Wives and Daughters, I think?) but he won me over pretty quickly. Moist is probably one of my favorite Discworld characters (though Vimes and Vetinari, at least, trump him) and the casting was actually spot on. And I love Stanley Howler full stop. And the costumes and set dressing were lovely. Especially the two-foot bow ties. Actually, the only things that really bugged me were the golems (because it would have been better just to have their faces molded and still, rather than try to make their mouths move) and Angua (because bzuh? That is not Angua).
So in conclusion: good job, everyone involved. Now where's our awesome Good Omens miniseries?
