I feel like complete and utter crap. My insides are trying to go to the outside and really, I'd like to prevent it. This of course is causing my back to hurt. Which means that as my lower back starts to the hurt, the pain will then travel up my back and into my 'hot spots', mainly my shoulder blades. Yep. I didn't notice anything for a while, but one day I just realized I was feeling MUCH better. Like I said I was almost 100% better in 2 months. These days, I can *cheat* a little. A little... like at a friends house have cow's milk in my tea if that's all she's got, or a little ice cream at a birthday party or something. The only thing is, if I over-indulge I FEEL IT the next morning, but it goes away sometime that day if I don't add any more dairy.

Unsweetened soymilk is awesome in tea, I love it. There are some soy "ice creams" that are really good too. I do miss cheese sometimes but I just take that as a cue that I need to get back into the kitchen and try something new and snazzy. :)

I would try going dairy free, really free, for 2 months and see if it helps you. It may be that I have a sensitivity to it or something and for you it might be some other food. It would be great if you tried it and it worked for you, we could try to find other folks to give it a shot and maybe win a Nobel prize for curing the ailment. (ha ha, totally kidding) *hugs*
