"You got to live your life, live it right"

Dragontologist is now staying the weekend. Tonight, I have decided, I'm going to make pizza. I've never made pizza. I’m also going to be cooking my lasangna tonight for the pot luck here at work.

Let me take a moment and express HOW strange this is that I'm doing cooking.

I never cook. NEVER cook. In fact, up until recently, I sucked at cooking. To the point where there was once an issue with me boiling water for an ex of mine and failed.

That's right, I failed to boil water -- get your ha-ha's out now.

Anyway, I was over at Apple Farm yesterday to pick up from fresh mozzarella for the lasengna and heard a mother ask her children if they wanted to make pizza. I thought that sounded smashing and decided to make it tonight.

So before I got to pick up Andy at the train, I'm hopping over to Apple Farm again to pick up onion, peppers, pizza dough and cheese (again -- yum!). Then we're heading over to Target to pick up some clothes and possibly another lamp for me (if they have it that is).

I will then clear off the kitchen table (which was recently cleaned, but we won’t talk about that) to beat up pizza dough and make a general mess. I think it'll be a lot of fun to be cooking with music and good conversation. Or stupid conversation, as mine and Andy's talks degenerate into mindless gibberish, like this:

"Well you suck!"
"No YOU suck."
"Knock, knock."
"Who's there?"
"Fuck"
"... Fuck who?"
"Fuck you, you suck!"

Well, it amuses me, which is all that really matters.

But I'm mildly concerned about destroying dinner. I have flour so the dough doesn’t stick to me. I have wax paper so it doesn’t stick to the pan or to the table.

Michelle swears that I should be okay. But my question is, do I need olive oil? Vegatable oil? Aren't I supposed to be coating the dough with something? Is pasta sauce a good answer for pizza sauce?

Well, I'll find out tonight when my kitchen will be filled with the smells of pizza and lasagna!
