Ha. Somewhat like Wolf herself, then.

She walked towards the console, never letting the barrel of the gun leave its target. Wolf had no expertise with computers, no way to reverse the countdown. The others, perhaps...?]

Brave little girl, ready to die. You die for a cause, but are you prepared to die in vain?

Nothing is ever in vain. At least, not now. Not when greater things are at stake.

[The computer was locked and ticking away. Exits were closing one by one.]

You could escape, but you chose to go after me. What can you gain from doing that?

[Mei Ling is looking down the barrel of a gun. She is looking straight down one and any moment her life could end faster than she expected. No, this was not the time to think about that.]
