Fair's fair's fair. Star Trek! :D Any specific run you'd prefer, or all of it, or all separate. Whatever floats your boat. ^_^

Alright then, I'll go with all of it. :D

1. The first character I fell in love with: I...don't know. Probably Seven of Nine or Kathryn Janeway
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: The Doctor, aka the Voyager EMH. I wasn't sure about him at first.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: Well, I'm not sure everyone loves her, but I'm not overly fond of Beverly Crusher. She's okay, but I like most of the other characters more ( ... )

2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: The Doctor, aka the Voyager EMH. I wasn't sure about him at first.

Having seen the EMH's beginnings on DS9, I certainly wasn't expecting to love him like I do. And he's still annoying much of the time. XD It's just I find him funny. Robert Picardo does a wonderful job with somewhat obnoxious characters, I've noticed.

4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Harry Kim. I love his antics with Tom.

...There are people who hate Harry?? But - but -- Okay, wait, my roomie actually doesn't like him much, iirc. Hurm. Well, anyway, Harry is love, and Harry & Tom are such boys together, it's awesome. Black and white holonovel pulp sci-fi adventuring! <3 <3 <3

7. The character I'd slap: Benjamin Sisko.

Interesting! I'm pretty neutral on Sisko, myself. Care to explain? :D

13. A pairing (or more!) I love: Tom Paris/B'Elanna Torres

<3

Picardo is good at being obnoxious. Have you seen the episodes with him on Home Improvement? XD

Yeah, I don't get it either. Harry and Tom are awesome together! (And I would so watch a Captain Proton movie.)

I just don't like Sisko in command. He's more prone to do rash things than the other captains, and he's not exactly emotionally stable either. He's more easily provoked than the others. He is more morally ambiguous than the other captains, and while I like that to some level, it makes it really easy for me to disagree with some of his decisions. I probably wouldn't mind him so much if someone else were in command of the station; I just don't like his command style. Granted, it may have something to do with the fact that Janeway is my favorite of the captains, and her command style is very different from Sisko's.

I have seen every episode of Home Improvement ever, but I do not recall what ones he was in. :D;;

...Captain... Proton... movie... *stares into space with a silly grin for several minutes* Would it be like Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, a teeny bit, do you think?

I agree that Sisko can be quite rash, but that didn't really bother me, possibly because I was also watching Babylon 5 at the time. And the truth is, I find Janeway on much shakier moral ground than Sisko ever was. She made a lot of decisions I strongly disagreed with, especially in regards to her crew. I know you like her, and I apologise if this offends you, but I honestly found her very creepy about both Kes and Seven of Nine. :(

He was the neighbor who was really good at annoying Tim on accident, especially where cars were concerned.

I've never seen Sky Captain. :(

I just never really understood why Sisko was assigned to command, because he never struck me as being very good at it. Of course, I haven't seen all of DS9, so I probably missed something, but it always seemed to me that Kira was better at running things. The way the Emissary arc was handled also seemed soap-opera-ish to me, but that's another matter. As for morals, I admit that one of the most recent episodes I saw was "In the Pale Moonlight," and that's probably affecting my view.

No, that doesn't offend me. I can see how she might come off as creepy, but I just saw it as Janeway having strong semi-maternal instincts, since she was like that towards Harry for a little while as well. Sort of the reverse of Picard: he has trouble being around children, while Janeway wants to adopt every cute little ensign, Borg child, or puppy she sees and give it cookies. XD

Ah! Yes, I remember him. :3

I haven't seen it either, except trailers and a couple of clips, but the very funky light effects would work well, I think. Really, Captain Proton would work better if it was deliberately made to have similar production value to, say, the Hitchhiker's Guide TV series. Or original Trek, only less so. :D

Janeway wants to adopt every cute little ensign, Borg child, or puppy she sees and give it cookies. XD

XD I find this interpretation both amusing and entirely valid. XD
