Authors Note: It started as a Remus fic, to a Sirius, then back to Remus. I quiet like how it turned out.*sigh* I tried to get it down to 100, but I wasn't sure how to cut it down... Anyway, read, review. You know what to do.
"You were one of my best friends. I lived with you, laughed with you, loved you, even trusted you. You were a marauder, my brother, in not blood but destiny. Did that not mean anything to you?"
His voice shook as he screamed.
"What did they promise you?"
He laughed. "Power? They will never give you power. You will never be important enough for power."
He hissed through his teeth. "They damn well could not have promised you friendship, because you had that! We were your friends, your family."
He smiled bitterly, and shook his head. "They thought it was me, did you know that? They thought it was me! The spy"
He spit the words as if they were filth, "But it was you, wasn't it, who was the rat."
