Happy Birthday to my little man!!

My baby is 8 today! Holy CRAP! lol :)

I took off from work Wednesday, Thursday and today this week. The kids both had Spring break. Wednesday morning we left for Great Wolf Lodge in PA, and it was FREAKIN AWESOME! I would recommend it to anyone, but definitely just for one week night. You can check in starting at 1:00 and use the water park until 9 p.m. and then you check out at 11 a.m. the following day but can stay and use the waterpark until 9 p.m. again! That's pretty much two full days of a huge family water park, plus a hotel room, all for $199. They get you with the food cost, though. As long as you bring your own food and just get snacks or cheap dinners, you'll be fine. If not, you're looking at another $150-200. The buffet dinner is $30 per person! We didn't do it - we stayed pretty cheap. But if we go again, we'll definitely bring more food. Every room has a fridge and microwave in it.

The kids had such a blast, and Pete and I did too! Since it was a week day, it wasn't very busy, which was great. Hardly any lines for anything. Towards the end of Thursday, when a lot of families were checking in, the lines for the water slides got kinda long, but the longest we ever waited for anything was like 5-6 minutes.

The best was the Coyote Cannon water slide! It was a steep drop down into a big basin where you swirled around and around like a toilet - lol - and then you went through a hole in the bottom out into the lazy river... :) It was my favorite!

Thomas learned to swim while we were there :) He was so freakin cute and happy the entire time! It was awesome :D He was so cool - he went on all the water slides like a million times, even by himself!

Dom was hitting on chicks half the time - lol. He was asking girls to go on the Hydro Plunge with him (you needed at least 2 people to go on) - saying that his parents were too lazy and his brother was too scared so he needed someone to go on with... lol. What a player!

We came home Thursday night and pretty much just crashed. This morning we took Thomas out to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast (his choice) and then we opened presents at home. We got him a new bike, a digital drum set, a football and some moon sand - he was very happy! He rode his bike around for a while and then we went to the movies to see Nim's Island. It was really cute :)

After that we picked up Chris and went to Chuck E Cheese for like 5 hours of hell and torture... ugh. I hate it there. But the kids had fun :)

On the way home, after we dropped of Chris, their biological dad texted me to see if he could call Thomas. I asked Thomas if he wanted to talk to him and he was like, "who, eddie?" He refuses to call him anything else, for like the past 6 months. He said he doesn't want to talk to him and that he hates him. We ended up all getting into an argument about him, because Dom immediately came to his defense and was making all kinds of excuses for why he isn't a part of their life... It was sad. Pete said he felt mostly bad for Dom, that he has been making these excuses in his mind for the ned's behavior all this time. I sent the ned an email about it all, so whatever. He can't just not talk to the kids for a year and then expect to just call on Thomas' birthday like it's no big thing. Whatever.

The kids are playing with moon sand now, and Pete and I are enjoying some quiet for pretty much the first time in 3 days :) Tomorrow his parents are coming for dinner, so I have to do some major cleaning and grocery shopping.

Nice long entry :) lol
